Activated carbon adsorption

Each exhaust unit is equipped with an activated carbon adsorption box, which is used to adsorb organic solvents such as benzene in the exhaust, so that the air meets the emission standards.

Activated carbon is a very fine carbon particle with a large surface area, and the carbon particles have even smaller pores - capillaries. This capillary has a strong adsorption capacity. Since the surface area of ​​the carbon particles is large, it can fully contact with the gas. When the organic gas hits the capillary, it is fully adsorbed and plays a purification role.

The activated carbon adsorption cabinet is composed of a box body. The activated carbon box is a plate type and is placed horizontally in the slideway inside the adsorption cabinet. It has high adsorption efficiency, small wind resistance, small footprint, large adsorption capacity, long effective working time, and low maintenance cost. It can adsorb 99% of organic matter in the air. The dust-removed air must pass through the activated carbon layer before it can be discharged to the outside through the air duct and fan.

Principle and performance

During the spraying operation, the overspray mist is mixed with air by the high-pressure centrifugal fan and adsorbed into the dry filter of the spray booth. Under the special maze structure, more than 95% of the paint mist particles are settled and adsorbed into the filter; the remaining small amount of particles are mostly adsorbed when passing through the turbulent ball filter layer; at this time, there are only a very small amount of paint mist particles and VOCs for atmospheric pollutants, which are then adsorbed by the activated carbon filter layer and discharged in compliance with the standards. After actual experiments and tests, the overspray mist treated by this equipment can meet the most stringent emission standards in China at this stage.
